Current Services:
INTERVENTION – PREVENTION – CASE MANAGEMENT
Domestic Violence/Human Trafficking Shelter Placement/Relocation Assistance
Domestic Violence- Law Enforcement Assistance Program:
Just as police officers are not quasi-firemen, they do not have the tools, training, or time to put out a fire, therefore, they call the fire department.
Just as police officers are not para-psychologists, quasi-child protective service providers, or para-social workers who will spend hours and multiple visits to a home to do evaluations, assessments, safety planning, mental health services and referrals – or take a child who is endangered from a home; They would call a professional service provider.
Just as police officers would not attempt to triage a traumatic brain injury or renter medical aid to a stroke or heart attack victim, but would all the emergency medical team (EMT) to respond and take the appropriate actions…
We believe that justice reform includes tapping into the services already in existence in our communities and work together to promote solutions-focused, time sensitive, resources for domestic violence offenders and victims.
Domestic Violence Service Providers are specifically trained individuals who have the time, tools, and resources for the entire family unit and can assist law enforcement and the judicial system in alleviating another “Gabby Petito” situation whereby no arrest was made, no resources were given, and the victim was dead 24 hours later.
Our goal is to do an on-scene assessment and/or evaluation to determine the offender and the victim, hold the offender accountable, and get the victim(s) to safety before the incident becomes another domestic violence homicide. In the case of a non-violent domestic dispute, we offer home visits and on going case management.
